Tomasz Różycki
Writer in Residence September - October (Polen)
Tomasz Różycki, born in 1970 in Opole, where he lives and works, is a poet, essayist, writer, and translator from French, and is among the most important contemporary Polish authors. He is especially influential in his homeland as a poet.

In 2023, he was awarded the Samuel Bogumił Linde Prize. His novel Bestiarium appeared in 2016 from edition.fotoTAPETA in a translation by Marlena Breuer, followed by the poetry collections Der Kerl, der sich die Welt gekauft hat (2018), Kolonien (2023), and the novel Die Glühbirnendiebe (2024), each translated by Bernhard Hartmann.

Most recently published: the essay collection Feuerprobe. Die trügerische Kartographie Europas with Arco Verlag (2025).
